Find-out-athon

Congratulations to everyone for the great job that you did learning all the facts for the -athon this week.  Thanks to Mrs Delowe, Mrs Crooks and Miss Robb and Mr Funari-Roche that helped ask and write down the answers.  If you still haven't received your child's result, please return the blue sponsorship sheet and the test result will be stapled to it. Sponsorship money can come to school too.

As you know, we have been learning about road safety.  This week we went for a walk out the front of the school to take a tally of all the different traffic we can see. Cars came out tops followed by trucks. We also looked at the traffic signs around school such the pedestrian crossings and the 5km sign on the driveway.

We will continue to look at different traffic signs this week in class and how to safely cross the road. You might like to show your child the signs you use when driving home and practise the Stop, Look and Listen message when crossing roads.

This week's sounds are the long u sound:

ew
(useful, huge cute, fruit, suit, juice, clue, blue, rescue, flew crew, new)

Words for the week are: and, see, you, with
